AUTOBIOGRAPHY I, Shakirova Gulimshat Satybaldievna, was born on May 31, 1972, in the village of Kyzylary, Aktogay District, Karaganda Region. I graduated from Kyzylary Secondary School in 1989 and entered the V.I. Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Geological Exploration. I am a graduate of the K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University (1994). After graduating in 1994, I was retained as a young specialist at the Department of Crystallography, Mineralogy, and Petrography, where I worked as an engineer, later as a lecturer and senior lecturer. From 1996 to 2000, I studied in a part-time postgraduate program and participated in research projects funded by the Science Foundation and fundamental research programs of the Ministry of Science–Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1996–2000). In 2001, I worked as Deputy Director for Academic and Educational Affairs at the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Engineering of KazNTU. From 2002 to 2005, I worked at the Kazakhstan- British Technical University (KBTU) as an engineer, head of laboratory, and later as a senior lecturer at the Department of Geology and Subsoil Protection. During my employment at the university, I received multiple letters of appreciation for my active participation in the preparation and delivery of academic courses. From 2005 to 2007, I worked at the Department of Geography of the Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical Institute. In 2007, I was selected through a competitive process as a senior lecturer at the Department of General Geology, Mineralogy, and Petrography. I am the author of more than 40 published scientific articles and teaching and methodological manuals. In 2013, I was awarded the K.I. Satpayev Prize among master’s students in the fields of natural and technical sciences for the best research works at the K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University. From March 19, 2018, to May 8, 2024, I worked as a Category I Geologist at JSC “Kazgeology” (RF “Yuzhgeologiya”). During the 2024–2025 academic year, I worked as a lecturer at the K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University, Department of GSPiMRPI. Currently, I am working as a Senior Lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Department of Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre.
